You can hide the odd angles more by going with a darker color as natural shadows will help conceal the upper portions of the ceiling. However if you have a large room to paint painting the ceiling the same color as the wall may not be a good idea. Painting the walls and ceilings the same color can hide these angles because the transition from the wall to the ceiling is less noticeable.
