Resistance 4 Band Resistor Color Code. The four band color code is the most common variation. A 6 band resistor is like a 5 band resistor but includes a temperature coefficient band the 6th band.
The last band represents the tolerance level and the tolerance level of the resistor is 5. These resistors have two bands for the resistance value one multiplier and one tolerance band. The colour bands of the resistor would look like this.
In the example on the left these bands are green blue red and gold.
The four band color code is the most common variation. As shown above a carbon composition resistor can have 4 to 6 bands. The value is thus 56 100. The last band represents the tolerance level and the tolerance level of the resistor is 5.
